LED visual lights are a new form of entertainment in South Africa – and the world. They are LED light sticks that are spun around, creating words and photos that you can see and read. This has changed the corporate entertainment environment in the sense that a company can have their logo made visual in a unique way.
There are various names for this new technology, among the more common are logo lights, visual poi, graphic poi and pixel poi. Logo lights began in about 2012 as low quality images displayed on short LED sticks of about 24 pixels each side. These display beautiful patterns, although not the best when it comes to the more intricate photos and text. Today’s high resolution LED logo lights are available in up to 160 HD each side. Spotlight Entertainment boasts a 160 HD pair of LED logo lights as well as a 72 pair which was top of the range in 2014.
LED visual poi can be used for birthday parties, corporate events, product launches, club shows etc. Text, images and logos are pre-programmed into the devices and inspected before each show.
